Weekly Wrap Up #2

Okay, so I'm super bad at keeping up on what I've read through out the week, mostly, again, because of this new job. But, I did manage to finish one book, Teen Angst? Naaah... by Ned Vizzini, which, if you haven't read it yet, is a pretty great book. I also started It's Kind of a Funny Story also by Ned Vizzini, which I'm also loving and anticipating finishing today. So, um, yeah.. That's all I have this week. It's been rough, but I'll hopefully be getting back in the swing of things and knocking down my TBR pile!

Anyway, don't forget to check out the awesome Samantha over at The Book Corner, the originator of this fun thing, and be sure to check on the other awesome bloggers also participating in weekly wrap ups posted at the bottom of her blog!

Until next time,

Weekly Wrap Up #1

Hello ladies and gentlemen! So, I'm going to start posting weekly updates, just letting you know what all I've been reading throughout the week. It's very informal, nothing to beat yourself up over, and, for me at least, just a way to knock down my TBR and even track how much I read in a week.

The idea came from Samantha over at The Book Corner. Here's a link to her first weekly wrap up! Be sure to check her out, as her post better explains the main idea of things.(Plus she's pretty cool!)

Okay, so since this week was pretty busy, I'm just going to give you a cumulative update. I'll try to break things up by day starting next week, but until then, here's what I read in total for this week!

Books finished: The House at Pooh Corner by A.A. Milne
Every You, Every Me by David Levithan
                            Cut by Patricia McCormick

Books started: Flyte by Angie Sage
I Am the Cheese by Robert Cormier

Total pages read: 623

I'm actually pretty happy with this, considering I haven't had time to read the last few days. Hopefully this week will be better though!

Also, here are a couple other bloggers participating in weekly wrap ups:

Summer of Series: Updated

For some stupid reason, I had it in my head that this summer I would marathon a bunch of series' and trilogies and such, but, obviously, that isn't how things are working out at all. So, I've got to renew my 'rules' of the SoS. Here's what's up-

I'm going to attempt to finish at least one series per month, or two trilogies, while also reading one or two stand-alone novels, hopefully effectively knocking my TBR pile down by time September rolls around (this assuming I don't keep buying books...).

This is a much more realistic plan for me, allowing me to attempt to get through some of the series, while also not limiting my reading choices to the same worlds and characters the entire summer.

I'm currently still working on The Hangman's Daughter series, but I've also picked up the Septimus Heap series as well because I was craving Septimus. I think I'll also try to read The Secret History, although that book might rollover into next month. I don't know yet.

Okay, so this is my updated SoS. Less stress, more read, and, most importantly, more fun!!! Stay tuned for more updates guys1

Until next time,

Bout of Books 10.0 Day 4 Update

I think I've tired myself out reading wise, which is why today I really didn't get much read at all. I did manage a few pages though, which is better than none, so I can't be too disappointed. Hopefully I'll be back on track tomorrow!

Read 10 pages of Flyte by Angie Sage

Bout of Books 10.0 Day 2 Update

Hey guys! So, I didn't get through as much as I wanted yesterday, partially due to the crazy heat here (hot weather makes me sleepy), partially due to my father insisting on dragging me everywhere with him. Anyway, here are the stats:

370 of 564 pages of Magyk by Angie Sage.

Total pages read yesterday -- 308
Total pages read this week -- 527

I will finish Magyk today, and hopefully also get through The Darke Toad and start Flyte, all by Angie Sage.

Until next time,

Summer of Series: Series No 1

Hey guys! As you may know, during the months May, June, July, and August, I'm going to attempt (and hopefully succeed) in finishing 13 series' of books (56 books total). I decided, in an attempt to keep you all updated, that I would make a post letting you know what series I'm currently working on/ give you my thoughts on the series I just finished (I promise this will make more sense once things get rolling).

Without further ado, the series I'm going to start the SoS with is The Hangman's Daughter series by Oliver Potzsch. I'm not entirely sure what this series is about, but I'm very excited for it! Hopefully it won't take me too long to get through.

Feel free to join in and read these books with me! Or, if you've already read them, let me know how you feel about them!

I'll try to keep you updated on twitter, so if you don't follow me, you can follow me here.

See you soon!

Summer of Series!

Hey guys! So, if you follow me on twitter, you may or may not know that I went a little crazy these last few months and bought a LOT of books. A lot of these books are books in series that I've either started or want to start. I have quite a few completed series now in both physical and e-book form, so I decided what better way to spend my summer than to marathon the bazillion series' I have accumulated!

Beginning May 1 and going on till  August 31, I will try my hardest to read all of the series I have accumulated. I encourage you all to do the same! Now, don't go out and buy a ton of book series just because (Unless you really want to). If you happen to have any unread series laying around, why not make this summer the summer you finish them? Or, if you've read all the series' on your shelves, check out your local library! No use spending money when your library has all the books you could want for FREE!

I'll update later the full list of books I plan on reading, so check back!

Until then,
